For those struggling to find their one true purpose in Life! Read this!

Struggling to find what your one true purpose in life is? This is what you need to hear right now! I promise it will help!

If you have at any point in time struggled with finding your life’s true purpose or if you are struggling with it right now, as we speak! This is for you!

I read this beautiful chapter in the book I am reading, which I HAD TO share with you. The book is called O’s little guide to finding your true purpose, which I started reading few days back. It says – very often after asking a person what is their name, you generally ask what do they do! The question always revolves around their profession! Now while people doing very well for themseleves, get the chance to boast off about what they are doing. The others and especially those who are stuck in jobs they dislike and haven’t figured out what they exactly should BE or DO feel frustrated!

Also, societal pressure of finding that ONE TRUE PURPOSE of your existence, just within 25 years of your life, before you start working, get married and start a family life can be VERY UNREAL! Its almost ridiculous how much pressure this question can cause! So a theory that I read, which did relieve me and can do the same for you too is – For 1000s of years, the concept of having a passion and doing a job were 2 very different things. In fact Aristotle was the first one to bring in the thought, that one’s job can also be enjoyable. In the same way; marriages and love were separate. One used to marry for finanacial purposes, to exchange farms and raise a family. And love was reserved for the mistress. Again in the modern age, the whole theory of marrying someone you love, came into existence.!

Now we are living in the age where we want to marry someone we love and have a job which is our passion, which can be a cause of huge stress, anxiety and depression! Though this theory doesn’t answer – the BIG QUESTION – but it does ease off the unrealistic pressure we put on ourselves, to find the answer in a limited time!

The answer will come when it has to. At 15, 25 or even 65 maybe! But untill then what we could do is do the best we can with the resources we have! Isn’t it?

Another quote which keeps me at ease is an Oprah Winfrey quote. She says – Our purpose in life is to reach the highest form of expression we can as human beings! Which is what I have made my purpose in life. To pursue as many forms of expression & give my creative juices as many outlets as possible!
